Key highlights include the following:

  • The youth cited provincial and municipal policies, plans, innovation, and the gap between needs and current policy and program provisions of the Nepalese government as major elements influencing their life.
  • Male and female farmers, returnee and prospective migrants, youth representatives, agricultural cooperative members, state and non-state representatives in province 2 discussed crucial topics with high policy significance.
  • Despite attempts to generate opportunities and help youths in agriculture, current programs are either inaccessible to the target population, lack responsible execution, or mismatch youths’ life objectives and local context demands.
